Hii foodies welcome to kaviya's kitchen my name is kaviya sivanandam today's recipe was Chicken Biryani is a complete meal in itself to a lazy sunday meal, it is suit for all occasions.
Ingredients:
- Chicken - 1 kg
- Biriyani rice - 3 cups
- Onion - 2
- Tomato - 2
- Ginger garlic paste
- Saffron with milk
- Curd
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cinnamon
- Fennel seed
- Salt
- Chilli powder
- Turmeric powder
- Lemon juice
1. Make few slits on all the chicken pieces and add to large bowl.- 3 tbsp of yogurt
- 1 1/4 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- 1/2 tbsp of garam masala
- 1/2 tbsp of salt
- 1/2 tbsp of chilli powder
- 1/4 tbsp of Turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- Mix everything well and marimate the chicken.
- Meanwhile add 2 cups of biriyani rice to a large pot and rinse it at least thrice. Drain and soak in freash water for 30 mins.
- Heat ghee or oil in a heavy bottom pot or pressure cooker
- 1 Bay leaf
- Cinnamon
- Fennel
On a medium heat fry the onion until uniformly dark brown.
- This is the correct color of onion
Add dark crispy onion,Tomato,Ginger garlic paste.- Add chicken and mix well
- Add saffron milk
Add biriyani rice - Finally cover the cooker
- If cooking in a cooker, cook for 1 whistle later remove the cooker from the hot burner.
- After remove the cooker biriyani will be like this.
- Then we want to mix biriyani gentle with ladle
- Then Yummy biriyani is ready to serve.
