             Hi foodies welcome to our blog kaviya's kitchen today's recipe is Vendhaya kanji. Its made with Puzhugal rice,fenugreek and garlic. In many places is called by different name. In my house we call it Vendhaya kanji.

          In my home this recipe was very special breakfast.My mom make this new version. In fenugreek seeds it have many benefits it helps to growing thick and shiny hair and helpful for diabetes patient.  



    

Ingredients:

1. Puzhugal rice
2. Bengal gram (payatham parupu)
3. Garlic
4. Coconut milk
5. Drumstick tree leaves 
6. Salt

                       Preparation time     -   15 mins
                
                      Cook time                  -   15 mins

                       Total time                 -    30 mins 


Method:

1. In a pressure cooker add Puzhugal rice,fenugreek (vendhayam),  bengal gram(Paitham parupu),garlic,drumstick tree leaves and 2 and half  glass water.




2. Cook over low flame for 2 whistle (depend upon your pressure cooker). Turn off the flame and open steam completely released.

3. Add coconut milk and add salt




4. Healthy and tasty vendhayam kanji is ready to serve with mustard (kadugu)thuvayal.
